Here are all the Black Friday 2021 deals from Pick n Pay, Checkers, Makro and other supermarkets
South Africa’s major supermarkets have all announced their shopping deals ahead of Black Friday 2021, which falls on Friday, 26 November.
Cell phone deals online south africa, now is the cheapest time of the year.Unlike previous years, many retailers have opted to offer deals for several weeks – or throughout the whole month of November – giving shoppers more time to peruse and avoid queues and crowding during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
There has also been a notable shift from ‘big-ticket items’ such as televisions and appliances, with many retailers offering deals on daily necessities such as food and cleaning products.
Checkers said that its Black Friday sale will run from Thursday (25 November) until Sunday (28 November), with up to 50% off select items.
“In response to Covid-19, deals will again this year be valid for four days to give customers more time to plan and shop, and to prevent overcrowding. Rather than running an extended promotion with limited savings, the four days of concentrated Black Friday deals mean Shoprite and Checkers are staying true to the ethos of this promotion – deep discounts”.
The group is also leaning heavily on its new Xtra Savings programme, with extra savings available to cardmembers. Alongside groceries, Checkers said it will also be offering deals on liquor, appliances, tech and healthcare.
Massmart-owned retailer Game is offering weekly deals throughout the month of November, with these deals not available again at a later date.
As part of its ongoing Black Friday promotion, Game has also introduced a ‘Price Beat Promise’ which will guarantee consumers the lowest possible pricing on every item the retailer stocks.

Massmart-owned retailer Makro will run Black Friday deals throughout November instead of releasing deals for a restricted three to the five-day period from 26 November.
The group said that it will run an extended Black Friday campaign throughout the month of November and new Black Friday deals will be released each week.
The deals will feature four weeks of sales events across a range of products, from TVs and air-fryers to cell phones, laptops and gaming available online and in-store.

Pick n Pay
Pick n Pay has launched its early online-only Black Friday deals, which the retailer said will run up to 24 November 2021. More deals are also available on Pick n Pay’s Asap delivery app.
The group will also be hosting a Black Friday weekend sale from 25 November to 28 November.
Andrew Mills, group executive of marketing at Pick n Pay, says the retailer is focusing on deals for everyday items, such as food, liquor, toiletries and household products, as well as bigger ticket items such as appliances and electronics.
While Woolworths has offered sales through much of November, its main Black Friday sale runs from 22 November to 5 December.
This includes sales in both its food and clothing segments, as well as deals on beauty products, homeware, appliances and furniture.
